Default Air Show

I assume the playpen is the best place to anchor for the air show. Is that right?

Who's all going? Missed the Poker Run with the "new to me" boat, but planning on running down to the Air Show in my Hustler with Dennis in his '08 Cig.

I always just dropped the hook east of north ave beach. You wont get too good of a view from burnham.

Brent -

Lets get together with Dennis and all run down there... too early to know for sure but it looks like the water will cooperate.

So if it gets rough out I guess no protection from the playpen? What is it the designated ditch place for planes?

In years past i always anchored just infront of the entrance to Diversey harbor....right in the middle of the flight path of the jets! UNREAL when they pass over your head some 50'!!! ...i believe thats the beginning line for the "quarantined zone" they have marked out and runs out to the lake a bit then over to the play pen

2003 Hustler Cheetah with 134 hours, 500 EFI's and XR drives.

Here it is two days ago on my driveway, last weekend in a Poker Run and a couple weeks ago on the big pond spanking some guy named Zastrow!! (I'm sure he'll chime in)

The North Avenue Beach BoatHouse (or whatever; that building that looks like a boat) is show central. The no anchor box is easy to find because as soon as you enter it, the Coast Guard or Chicago Police will shag you right out!!
I've anchored at all different spots in the pack of boats. No matter if i was directly in front of show central or on the edges of the pack of boats, some fighter jet zips right over top of my boat. its a crap shoot

Regardless of where you drop anchor, some idiot is sure to run over your anchor line.

This year I'll be on the beach with the common folk
