Ms Patriyacht, (Donna, right? I'm not very good with names anymore,) it was a pleasure to meet you, and don't forget to rough up Dyno and KAAMA for not making an appearance.

As always we had a great time.
It was nice seeing everyone again and hope to see some of you this Saturday on the River Run (See Post for Details).
What a great day it was.

Pipedream wasn't the only guy with mechanical problems.
I popped a head gasket on my port engine. It happened just before we arrived at Michigan City. I needed to get my copilot back for his surprise party (or face a lynching) so I drove the 30 miles back to Hammond broken. I quickly weighed the expense of the parts that might be ruined by driving the boat vs moving the trailer from Hammond to Michigan City. Not to mention the 50 people that would have shot me if we returned to Lombard at 10 PM! Seeing as my engines are just beefed 330s with cast cranks and 3/8 rods (cheap and plentiful), we boated back.
Oddly enough keeping there RPMs down on the broken engine kept the quantity of water added to the oil low. Not only that, but we nearly ran out of gas.
I was planning on that being my last outing, so I could start a few projects, paint and interior but nothing mechanical. Now I just have a bit more work to do.
I was really bummed that we missed the lunch and all the bench racing.
Had great time anyway!

Jack & Roger,As many have already said,THANKS for taking the time and effort required to put on such a great run.I'm sure many of us don't realize all it takes to arrange everything that's involved.....
Dave& Barb, sorry if I may of misled you about the New Buffalo ramp, but for my size boat I've never had any problems.Hope you got loaded up,ok.....
I had told my wife on the way to Diversy, that after the helo got our pictures I would only cruise about 50-60 on the run to Mi. City.Wellllll that didn't quite happen, with all the serious power on the run my right hand just couldn't pull back on the sticks Luckily, everything held together.....
Candyman, somehow we need to keep Vicki,Betty and my wife apart. If they make that shopping trip to Chicago,I may never get anymore speed out of my boat
Enjoyed, meeting EVERYONE....
