Cigarette Racing Team™ Centers On A Center Console
Cigarette Racing Team continues to finely tune its 2007 line-up with the addition of a high- performance center console sport boat, to be debuted at the Ft. Lauderdale International Boat Show, October 27-30, 2006.
The 39’ Top Fish is the first center console developed, built and painted in-house by the Cigarette design team. Powered by triple or quad Mercury high-performance, 2 or 4-stroke outboards, the Cigarette Top Fish is a unique model which symbolizes the company’s approach to powerboats—and now to fishing boats, adding a market-driven complement to the performance lines.
“The Top Fish redefines center console boats,” says Cigarette CEO and President, Skip Braver, “We are doing it like no one else has. This is an upscale boat that has flair and luxury, yet is fully functional for fishing—most of all, it looks like and is, 100% a Cigarette!”
Two years in the making, the Top Fish boasts Cigarette’s legendary deep-V hull, modified to complement an all-new deck, console and outboard engines. Roomy and painstakingly designed to include every creature comfort, including a 10’ beam, a generator, air conditioned cabin and stand-up head and a fresh water system, the Top Fish is a performance boat created to answer the Cigarette customer’s need for diversity in boating styles.
“The demographics are evolving and our line reflects that,” states Braver, “Our customers want to spend time with their families and enjoy the sport and recreation of a center console, without sacrificing performance or style. We offer all of that in the Top Fish.”
“We saw the growth of the center console segment of the industry,” said Neill Hernandez, Executive VP, “In creating the Top Fish, we pulled together all that we would want in this type of boat—from the high-tech deep-V hull to its billet-supported hard top. It is totally different, yet in every detail, true to the history of Cigarette excellence.”
The Top Fish will be a limited production model and the first three months of production are already sold. These initial boats will all be fully-loaded, including a state-of-the-art Northstar 8000i touch-screen Navigation system which combines navigation with a matching radio, DVD player and LCD TV. An underwater camera and lights, two SmartCraft® SC 5000 displays and an upgraded Kenwood stereo system, with MB Quart speakers are among the multi-faceted features included. The Top Fish will be on display at Floating Docks HI 9-16 at Bahia Mar.
