Default Innovation Never Stops

From sketching out the idea, to finally getting the new 340x in the water, our 34' catamaran has brought nothing but excitement to our MTI community. The anticipation lasted for months as we watched the boat come together at our shop in Wentzville, MO.

Starting over a year ago,

Our team began to form the design of the boat. The sketches and renderings became a lengthy first step ensuring the quality of the new boat being built from scratch. We produced a full model, so we could see and feel its design. Once the model was approved, the working plug was made, and the mold came together. After being completely CNC cut, with inspiration from our 48’ race model, the shape of the 6 seater 340x was finished sleek and strong. Next, parts were assembled, rigging was started, and the 34’ catamaran was ready for its custom paint.

It's all in the details.

At 34’ long and holding a 10’ beam, the 340x has a stepped hull that allows superior handling. With luxury and functionality in mind, ample storage and fine details were put in place. Forward bow storage, storage lockers behind seats, and room for 4 fenders and a 45 quart cooler sit discreetly in the aft compartment. The dash displays an 8617 Garmin Chart Plotter paired with a Mercury Vessel View 702. These are synced with a Fusion Stereo that plays through JL Audio Speakers to maximize sound quality. Mercury DTS throttles with custom MTI race handles, hand stitched upholstery, and lush SeaDek flooring put the finishing touches on this one of a kind machine.

After completion a couple weeks ago, and it's official test run, the new 340x made its debut at the Lake of The Ozarks Shootout. The long awaited cat met our high performance standards and far exceeded our handling expectations. All around we are more than happy at how the 34' catamaran turned out, and are excited about putting it into production this month. We can't wait to see more of them joining our MTI family.
