Is it normal to not even have your boat assembled 2 weeks before the 1st race?

Things are looking up; Last night was very productive dressing the engines. The Starboard engine is ready to hang and Sparky welded up both lower with Bob’s low water cones/pick ups.
With any luck we should have the Port motor ready to attach the power head tonight.

To quote sparky..."all it is is nuts and bolts".
Get that piece ready. We're all trying to get together and do some shakedown tests next week. ...plenty of tow boats to bring ya back!

2 weeks is plenty in our book. The longest ride we took with this boat was the ride out to the race course. We had about 15minutes on the motor, and most of that was on land at Smitty's shop. After a 6 month long complete rehab, we weren't even sure it would float much less make it to the inlet.
