Is it normal to not even have your boat assembled 2 weeks before the 1st race?

Not only have I never driven in a Cat, I have never been in a boat over 69mph. This should be interesting for all you other boats in Class 4.
But with any luck I should have a few hour's behind the wheel before Algonac race.

No chit. I'm stressing with parts that don’t show up or were never ordered. My boat does fit onto the specifications of Class 5 (75mph) but I guess from some of the PM’s I got trying to race a canopied cat in 5 would be an uphill battle.

Hell, there have been guys with their boats apart 2 hours before a race
But do try and get some seat time in before you get out there. Then just get on the course and keep to the outside while you get comfortable in a race situation. You don't want to be dicing it up close in with a boat you aren't sure of.

Rick, ours still is no been run yet either. Dont worry about no experience, running with Sparky makes up for that. Just have fun and watch out for the green bat boat. It is the boat to beat in Algonac.
