I wondered about that. With Neil and I running the motorized guitar pick we could not see anything once Joker was next to us and I missed the green flag completely.

~ But I still had a blast!!

This is only my opinion,

I didn't like the boats given the green flag on the back stretch but yet the official start doesn't happen until they pass the S/F boat which the line is from the St Clair Inn to the S/F boat. (the opposite side of the course)

Sort of leaves a huge gray area. If an in fraction was made prior to the S/F boat, the race has technically started yet. :confuesed:

I hope it would be considered in the future races that the green flag be dropped in front of the main fan seating area and at the S/F boat.

Many more witnesses to what occurs on the start as well...

Great event and thank you all for putting it all together.

Good point. let me explain. The river is TOO narrow at the south end to line the boats up, coming around the corner. That is the reason they are released up north, It was explained at the drivers meeting...when the gren flag drops the race has begun. You are racing to the S/F. that is where the scoring began. Sharkey, thanks for coming to St Clair. the coverage is great. Smitty

Thanks Smitty.

So in reality, the Start Line could be east of the Start boat and the Finish would be West...

I didn't realize how narrow the west is due to the bend at the powerplant...

Great job this weekend!
