Ocean City 1st , Point 2nd.
There is a reason it is called "offshore"racing. Not a huge fan of the flat water races. The big water is the "great equalizer".
OC is close to the perfect site. Only thing that would make it perfect, is if the pits where in walking distance to the hotels.

St. Clair.
It offers a great view of the race for the spectators. This is what the race fans demand and crave. They want to see the race boats racing as close as possible to them and on a short race course of about 4-5 miles in length. This is why St. Clair is so big and getting bigger every year, also United We Race with teams from every association and from all over the Country equals success. The entertainment and Race Village along with the people and sponsors make this the #1 Offshore Powerboat Race. This is the future of the sport, so please take notes and watch where it is going at St. Clair.

And a funny car can destroy a nascar in the 1/4 mile, Big foot can drive over cars and buses and a dragster can't. The reason I see the lake and river races becoming more popular is the ability to raise money through a large spectator base and the fact that running at 105 thru constant beam slop is just as adreneline producing as bouncing off waves at 70. Guys have mentioned races where we head straight out to sea for 30 miles and hook a right for 30 miles and so on. Question I have is who is going to sponsor this? No fans, no sponsors. The big Ocean sites seem to have a lot of people there without us, making it tough to raise money from advertisers. That is kinda how I see it, not saying I don't love going to OC or the Pt. Louie
