Nice!! It usually takes me a couple more days than this to let dust settle in my mind. It was a heart wrenching defeat in many ways, but not just for one team. I hope these things get handled better in the future. So many people walked away from yesterday's race with a big WTF happened. Hopefully the organization can do a better job of managing the foundation rather than trying to make it look pretty in the end.

Congrats to all the winners!!! It was a great day of racing!!!

????? WOW !!!!

I am not too full of Historical information as i have only followed offshore for a few years, and I see most everyone on this forum is an expert, ( i will admit upfront i am not an expert on old history ) however I wouldn't say MOST course distances are inaccurate.

And you're right Jimmy he should split the $$$ !! Now that would make history ! Later

I didn't say most. There are often discrepancies in the distances. whether its the mill, if there is a delay, the mark is a few hundred feet off, what ever. 6.5 or is it 6.7? 10 laps later is 2 miles. It is a variable to deal with. It is a fluid course.

Wazzup????

I left Pt Pleasent NJ Race at 4:40 and to My excitement Talk'n Trash Had Won the Geico Triple Crown!
The Next Day I found out they came in Second?
I asked myself a few Qusetions maybe someone could give me some answers,
1) Were they the first to the Checkered Flag?
2) Did they commit any Fouls? cut off another team illegally?
3) did they add a Supercharger to the Boat mid -Race?
4) Not Wear there Safety Equipment and Risk There own Life
foolishly?
5) Did they Weigh too much at the End of the Race?
6) Any other Violations other than Beating the # 1 Team?

The word on the Street is that at the 3 rd turn of the 7 th lap they were in second? When in any Race in history was anything but the checkered Flag not the End of the Race?
Please someone with some authority explain how this is Fair?
I would love to think that the OPA is about Fair play and competition. Not Pandering to its Big Star!:

Why should TNT be penialized for poor bouy placement?
Is that how it is Written in the rules? As for the Tragic week before, it specifically states in the OPA rules in the Event of a Emergency race Stopage the leader at that time of the race being stopped is the winner!
Why not Race for the Big Prize in Cambridge MD only Fair thing to do.

The only rule that is concrete in motorsports (all of them) is that rules are flexible.
