OPA Class 7 approved rules
Below are the OPA approved rules and guidelines for class 7. Again thank you OPA for welcoming this class.
1. Class 700 will be a 60 mph top speed class.
2. All registered hulls shall only be "Vee" hull from 17- 22 feet in length.
3. Class 700 race boats shall be equipped with a single outboard motor of horsepower not to exceed 300.
4. Class 700 races boat must be equipped with hydraulic or double cable steering systems.
5. 2 occupants in each boat will be necessary to compete.
6. All Racers must purchase GPS units from OPA.
7. Each occupant shall purchase a one time $150.00 registration fee for the entire season.
8. Class 700 will not participate in any OPA purse / prize/ travel money, however race trophies will be awarded
9. Class 700 entrants will be permitted to participate at all OPA Racing events (calm and rough water conditions).
10. Racers will start with class 600 and 500 utilizing the same course as Class 6,5 et al.
11. Class 700 will participate in an abbreviated - length / shortened course either 24 miles or 20 miles.
12. Registered hulls will have a 3 number designation system, starting with "7" and follow OPA racing guidelines for numbering.
13. This single engine v bottom class will be regarded as "Class 7."
13. All other necessary safety, and racing rules shall follow OPA current rules and regulations- helmets, inspection & kill switches for each occupant. - OPA officials shall reserve the right to inspect and determine if a class 7 boat is not eligible to compete.

Gang!,
Join. Lots of people share the ideas of "wanting to see how the class turns out" stop sitting in the pits and join us. We will need dedicated people to make it what it should be! I am busting my butt to get a boat done for the 1st race...Lets go, Join us and you 2 can be apart of a great beginning!
