There is a large dry pit area and overnight docking at Trumps for the race boats.

Hi, you'll need to ask Smitty about boat counts. I don't really handle that part. I know some new boats from the Great Lakes will be coming to A/C but I don't have a full count.

Smitty says he looking for 30+ to attend.

Who knows, maybe Augie and Xtremely Dangerous will make this race too. Ya just never know.

ron,

why don't you guy's offer a one day membership for the ac race, just like apba does. i bet you would get a lot more boats. the one reason you don't have to many is your races conflicted with others. i know many people would do the ac race but it does nothing for us. and to spend a 1000 plus dollars on registration and membership is stupid for one race. if you came up with a one time package and made it cheap you will get more boats.

The dry Pits are at Gartners Basin.

I'll check on the one day membership. I don't think APBA still offers that as an option.

Does anyone? And if so how much is it?

Ron

I know they still do @ the divisional level(not sure at the national level though), cause thats what we did @ St cloud this year. It was something like $300 for equipment and team and $200 entry fee. I am not too sure about the exact amounts but its a close guestimation.
I agree with Eric as this being a good idea, but as far as the winnings I think they should be broken down. I mean is it fair to the teams that have paid their yearly dues for someone to come in and pay a 1 race deal and walk away with the 3000.00 first place. I am not saying they dont deserve winnings but maybe break it down to like they would recieve 1/3 of the amount so if they got first it would be 1000.00 prize. they would still cover the entry and make an additional 500 in order to make it worth while for them to participate. Then put the money back into a fund for that class to make the winnings of the next race that much more and motivate more teams to come and run with us.
Just an idea, yes it has kinks in it, but thats why you and Kurt make the tough decisions not I lol
Take care Trent
