Cant comment on the OL, but the 4300 has had it's fair share. The ones that I know of have 625's and now 650's. The guys with the 525's are obviously lasting longer, but they are also easy on the sticks. Jeff

Just my .02 cents, and don't take this the wrong way because I am a big OL fan. I have noticed that many people who bought the 39 have very quickly traded them back in towards other OL models. I personally know three that were disapointed in the ride quality, the speed was great however, and have seen many others in the classifieds

Joe- nice boat. I like the colors but have something different in mind for my graphics. Did you opt to get a generator? What options do you recommend if you were to do it again?

The epoxy refers to the lay-up. OL doesn't use a conventional vinylester resin, they use a post cured epoxy lay-up, which results in a mutch lighter and stronger boat.
I have experience with both the 42 and the 39, both are exceptional boats. I ran with Paul Fiore quite a bit in poker runs. He has an epoxy 42 w/ trip 525's. Run over 100 through whatever you want, and extremely comfortable.
The 39 is more of a sporty ride, but it is an exceptional performer.
It dependes what you are looking for in a boat, but they are both exceptional. The fact that there are a few popping up for resale is simply based on previous owners moving up to the new 46, as well as a few other new models.
Call the dealership and set up a demo, this is a decision that has to be made after a boat ride, I can guarentee you won't be dissapointed.

100 with trip 525's? If that can be guarantied the 42 might be on my short list of replacement candidates. Ideally I would like to find 100 mph out of 2 engine 40-43' boat where the engines will actually last and not require rebuilds every year with 100+ hours of boating. Anyone know what the best options are for engines in that category?
