Stiletto Speed
just went for a ride in a 37 quad step w/1000efi's. We were on flat calm water with 6 people in the boat. Unfortunately dont know the gear ration in the #6 drives or prop size. Stabbed the throttles wide open and turned 5400 didnt play with trim or anything else. The GPS speed was not recording which is why we dont know how fast the boat was. Honestly the boat did not feel that fast but maybe because it stayed glued to the water and did not chine walk or porpoise or show any characteristics of being out of control. We have been told that this boat should run anywhere from 114 to 120 depending on who you talk to. How fast would you say we were going? And what should it run?

The 37 Quad Step w/ 1000's should run at least 115 - 120. It would have felt slow because the boat is tame at those speeds. But trust me, there wouldn't be too many people keeping up with you.
