I found this picture on SW. These look like 2x8s and thats a big block hanging from it. Sorry about the link, posting pictures here at work doesn't work too well.

It worked well. I've (unfortunately) gotten more use out of it that I thought I would. I had to pull the motor out of my cruiser, too.

I'm still hoping to have it done befor our poker run on the 7th, but that might be kind of hard since I'm in Myrtle Beach this week... We'll see, I think I can get it done.

Well, doesn't look like I'm going to make it. I was working on the Pantera yesterday and went to put the exhaust manifolds on. The holes that I cut for the exhaust tips are about 1" too high. I can do 1 of 2 things to fix it. I already have the risers off of the manifolds. I was thinking about having a 1 1/16" block of stainless machined into a spacer to lift the riser into position. My other option is to fill and recut the holes. That is probably what I'm going to do. (grrr, I hate doing fiberglass).

I'm pretty sure that I figured out why I was off: the angle of the transom... I can't remember if I determined the location of the holes from a cutout or the transom of the boat that I stripped. Either way, I guess I should have waited until I had the motor in the boat
