I can't remember if I already posted about it, but the person that I bought the boat from cut the transom for me ("I've done it hundreds of times...") and it was about 2" low an off center by about 1/2". So I had to fix it...

I put it at 17.5". JO said that I could go higher than what he usually uses in a full pleasure 28 since my boat doesn't have much of a cabin in it.

I coated all of the holes with vinylester resin to seal them. to get the smaller holes that I couldn't get with a paintbrush, I used a rifle cleaning bore mop and q-tips...

Looking good! I will have some pics next week of my 28 in progress. Is that 17.5" X dim measyred up the face of the transom or with the right angle tool/method? Thanks, Chris
