Congrats Tom , Those are some great #'s no doubt ! especially for a single carb naturally asperated motor, I bet it sounds awsome !! You should have a good guide for alot of things by Mike's 28 That they just finished up. When are you expecting to get back in the water ?

thanks guys,
funny thing is I didn't expect it to be quite that high.
I am concerned w/ the bravo. It has5hrs on it after I had it rebuilt and added a new lower.
don't have any alternatives right now but to take it easy
I did find a spare though.
Does the standard xz or xr normally have a steel tower, or is that an after market deal? I'm kinda of clueless about that(and some other things )
I'm hoping to pick it up today and install it tomrrow. If I am lucky it will be wet this weekend

Tom great job on the motor!! On your bravo, all you need is to make sure you install a #2 upper gear shaft with the XR gears. I have run a 540,555,598 and now a 584 blower motor without failure. Not including 8 races with the 555 ci without failure.

Hey Tom,
Those are great numbers, welcome to the 80 mph club. Lab a 28 and you should run mid 80's no problem. Get out in the shop and start rigging that new motor. I bet with a good shot of ambition you will have her running on the hose Sunday nite.

I saw a pull today that was 706tq @ 5100 and 754hp at 6100rpm
I won't get the mtr till mid day tomorrow. If I can get it dropped in the bilge by fri night and back my boat back in the shop I'll have a good jump on the weekend

Must be nice. I keep doing boat work, but it's not on my Pantera. I pulled the 350 out of my cruiser that I broke memorial day weekend and I stripped a 454 down to a short block to send up north. The good news is my hoist contraption works really well.
Are you going to try to make it up here for the poker run in July? We're having one in August, too, that is a little further south on I-75 from Knoxville
