I would ask Jo or Pepe about it they would know they know all Panteras......Im sure they'll chime in as soon as they see it they always do, I like the boat but not for the coin, the rear hatch looks great and windshield looks good to the bolster STYLE (Headrest) doesnt llook to bad either, could be a real nice boat..it has looks for sure but do you want to spent the time and money is the question....remember it only has a limited purpose, but I can deal with it for the rght money...

If you want a good project buy the 28 with no engines/drives and sit on it untill you can throw in some small blocks and new outdrives.
O.K dumb idea!! get a boat that needs work, engine, and drive How much you going to spend in all that!!! Alot more than is boat that is complete that just need some work!!

first I would start with the motor and drive if they are good I would probably offer 8-9k you have to figure the interior well done estimate 1500-2000 and the paint if you dont like the color estimate 4000-5000k I would also do the engine compartment estmate 400.00 and then there the rigging make sure its all there if not you have to take into account that along with matching the guages estimate 500.00. Once you have all that I believe that it will be a bad asz boat..

9000.00 Boat
2000.00 Interior
5000.00 Paint
400.00 Copartment
500.00 Guages
16900.00 Total for a three man bolster boat...thats not a bad deal at all, if the motor is strong..besides it will look like a new one.......Maybe you can talk to Pantera on taking on the project they did my friends Apache and it looks great and worked on it pretty quick.

Nice first post......... You need to work on your writing skills too.

1981 28 pantera - $15000
New interior 5000
2 New small blocks 12000
2 new bravo drives 11000
Installation 3000
Props 1000
Misc BS 2000

Total 49000

For a brand new 28ft pantera with twin small blocks. You will be hard pressed to find a 28 pantera without a story for that price. Lets see how long it takes Scott to sell that boat so you can find out just how dumb an idea that is. Better yet why doesn't someone put this boat together for me and I will buy it for $50,000.

Default crazy

I find it crazy that I looked at this boat yesterday. The boat is not in bad shape just cosmetic stuff and minor wiring. The engine is awsome (as I am an engine man) the guy did the engine right. He said TRS held up better than early Brovo's as he was turning 6000-6200rpm. If wife would have said yes I would have bought on the spot, but she wants something more family friendly.

By reading posts people are questioning the year, I seen title and it is titled 1995 and numbers match.

Couple of 1st post on this thread......... Weird isn't it.

Cosmetics........I thought the same thing when I almost bought a 1999 28 pantera. It looked great to me. I thought hell its a 1999 there couldn't be that much wrong with it. My mechanic turned up $10,000+ in repairs with just the naked eye. If you are really serious have a mechanic go over it and tell you exactly how much its going to take.
