these things can get expensive fast.
and the good buys go fast.
ie:swung6 and dude sweet's 24s.

it aint cheap to get these boats up to par.
but then again, it depends on your own standards... and i like a clean ride.

I won't rat out Nick on what he paid for mine exactly, but I let mine go, delivered half way across the country, for under $10k and mine was a good looking runner with brand new SMI exhaust.

1problem w/ a 24, you'll soon want a 28.
how about the 28six pack up in RI. Better buy than this 24.
UNLESS, this 24 is actually really clean, and only REALLY needs 3-5 to get it up to par.
or unless you are limited to $20k total.

For a brand new 28ft pantera with twin small blocks. You will be hard pressed to find a 28 pantera without a story for that price. Lets see how long it takes Scott to sell that boat so you can find out just how dumb an idea that is. Better yet why doesn't someone put this boat together for me and I will buy it for $50,000.
Not long ! The deposit from my buyer is suposed to be hear by 12:00 tomorrow for it. ( So we will see ) I would say that you can't in any way compare the price of a a 24 to a 28. Although they are equally built like rocks & vertually indetructable they are not really apples to apples when it come to what they sell for, Not to mention actually finding another 28 Minus power for anywhere near what I am selling my boat for ! I know because not only have I spent a ton of time looking ( as may of us have ) I have owned & sold 2 out of the 4 that I know of that have been sold in recent years ( My 2 , Bruces 3 man race boat that went oversees , and the one that was sitting on the ground somewhere oversees. )

So "dumb Idea" I would have to say it just depends on what you are looking for & what suits your needs.

This one is located near me, http://adcache.boattraderonline.com/6/4/2/88460642.htm
It is a very original boat, that was well taken care of, but it does show it's age.

Lee, swung6 owns that boat now.

Scott, you know what the best deal on a 28 was.

I just saw it on boattrader before you posted it looks like a good deal. Stormrider are you saying swung6 just bought it or is he trying to sell it?

I did not know that, It was still sitting there the last time that I looked a couple of weeks ago. So where did "Trick or Treat" end up, is it still local?
