If its a pure race setup with no cabin - it might be hard to resale. At that price it sounds like it might be a race setup. If it was in fact on the race circuit I would have it surveyed.
If you don't know much about boats find someone who does and is willing to go look at it.

Get that guy to send you some pics and post them up here. Also get the guy to give you the Hull ID #. Jo-Pantera may be able to give you some history on it. While your at it ask him why there is an old TRS drive on a 1995 boat. I think they stopped making them around 1990 (not sure on that one), which is why they are hard to find parts for.

I bet the boat/hull is older than 1995.
Could be a fun ride regardless.
