I dig the old Panteras. Very classic look. I was just saying that $30k seemed a bit silly for that boat (funny, I grew up on the border and forgot all about the exchange rate!).

I think that one of the potential "next generation" Panteras may have a wood floor...

Tex, what happen to the apache?
Thanks for asking..........just got word that my deposit check got there first. So right now the sale is pending survey. I'm really excited. Its hillirous how many post I read that said that boat was sold already. I guess this one was just meant to be (knock on wood). I guess my dreams of owning a 28 pantera will just have to wait for 5-10 years. I'll keep you updated.

Andy ,
Glad to hear you are pulling off a deal ( survey pending ), I hope all goes well for you ! I know you have been looking hard & must be excited.. I know you have been looking at Pantera's & Saber's both but I guess if you arn't going to buy one of those it might as well be an Apache.. All great boats in my opinion & you couldn't go wrong with any of them if you buy smart.
I'm sure you will still be on this board from time to time as some of us other guys are... Wish you the best !

Anyone know anything about that 28 Pantera in Canada listed above? Is it still available?

Where are all the early 1980 28 Panteras at? You never see any for sale.

Wow - I was watching that boat on youtube last night. Awesome boat, I had no idea it was a 1986.

Bigboat28 - be patient, there will be another one. Last year a 1981 sold for $25K and it had new Bravo ITS's and twin small blocks. Another 1987 sold for $29K with brand new bravos and twin big blocks.

28 apache update - Owner just finished a minor repair and the testdrive is scheduled for Wednesday. If all goes well it will be mine by next weekend.
