My 24 with a stock 502 mag ran 70-71 at 1200' in fresh water. So, I would guess a 330 horse would run about 65.

That's not a Sport, it's an SC. The Sport fairing is straight across, the SC is V shaped.

can anyone give me some info on how the 24 handels. looking to downsize and would like to keep the looks and ride of the saber I currently own.

WHY????????? Isn't your 28 a single. What happened dude, that boat is the chiszzznite. I'd still like to buy it.

I've never been in a 24 pantera, but I used to have a 24 python which is pretty close. Its about half the ride of a 28. Lots of fun if you like to stay on top..........a drivers boat if you will.
