My suggestion would be to go with Stainless Marine recessed cleats (1) at the bow and two on the rear either on the area right behind the engine hatch in the corners or at the rear jsut above the rub rail. I would also get a couple of the spring loaded mushroom cleats from Eddie Marine to put next to to the helm and passanger area for fenders or spring lines.

My 24 had 2 cleats just in front of the fairing which I liked b/c they were easy to access from the dock or cockpit either one.. Also the widest point on the boat.. I used the same mount holes & front cleats when I redone my boat but ifnot I would have moved them out just alittle bit...I put 2 of the mushroom cleats on the rear corners of the upper deck... It also had a lift ring in the front of the bow , & the 2 small rings on the transom... The factory usually uses the stainless marine recess cleats on the sides of the upper deck near the front of the fairing... I have never used the stainless recessed ones so I am not sure how user friendly they are , but I trust that they work good or else Jo & Pepe wouldn't use them... If I recal S.M. does make 2 sizes so you may want to check with the guys & se which size they use...

Here are some pics. of mine... I usually would never have deailed pics. of my cleats , but when it was forsale I had a guy want pictures of every nook & cranny of every accessory... Ofcourse he didn't buy it... Some guys are accessory guys & some guys are Pantera guys...

I will add that I Really liked the mushroom cleats in the rear , however if I was going to leave the boat tied up overnight , or leave it in a rough bay/oceanside ect.. I would be a bit nervous b/c the mount plate is kinda limited.... Just depends on your usage... I am not the type to leave one tied up in an unprotected area but I also realize thats not always feasible..

BTW: Looks like you have a nice rebuild going on !
Keep pushing along...
