might be just a sign of the times and the economy...if the price is right, there will be a buyer with or without a tansom assembly......with these kinds of boats, it seems to me that most buyers will tinker with it at some level.....if they are willing to buy a boat than needs a motor and a drive, I don't think that mounting a transom assembly is going to be a deal breaker.....just my .02

My 2 cents : Unless you have a Particular buyer in mind that is willing to put down a deposit I am not sure I would cut the transom, b/c you really have no way of knowing your future buyers wants & needs.. I Personally would leave it as is & then Offer to any potential buyer that you will setup the transom for whatever drive they desire... Personally if I was the buyer I would want it before the transom is cut , but I understand that is My particular scenario & probably doesn't reflect the majority...
The problem with catering to the masses is that you just never know what or who is around the next corner & thats why I say leave it & give the Option to set it up for whatever the next buyer desires... Just a thought..
Lastly I agree with Donz & say that this is a tough market & its not favorable for either scenario.. Which is why I would be even more sceptical of cutting... Like I said this just My opinion b/c the question was asked...

Leave it as is for now.
