buy the American flag boat,. That is a smoking deal on a fairly new boat. NIce hardware on it too....hardware is expensive...at 55-60k that is a good buy if it is as nice as it seems and the engine is in strong working order.

I paid a fair bit for mine but I have some serious hardware on mine and it was rigged by Jo and Pepe for themselves to race with so I figured I would pay a premium for that. You need to figure out what you want. Do you want a twin boat, do you want a fast boat, do you want one with a pretty paintjob, etc. Figuring out your prioroties makes it alot easier to narrow down the field.

I wanted a fast boat with the best motor drive package I could get. I didnt care about cabin space, stereo, or paint. Someone had told me to buy as much horsepower as I could afford, so I did! I am already wishing I had more because we have let it hang in mine and once you get used to it you want MORE POWER.

I ended up buying a boat with a 710hp engine with low hrs (65hrs when I bought it). It is hooked up to an Imco extreme drive, external hydraulic steering, etc...boat is black and has a race cockpit. I got a good price in my opinion but I didnt steal it by any means. I paid what I thought was fair.

One thing I learned about boat shopping is if you do enough homework you start to see that you get what you pay for, no more no less. Oh yah that and also that engines are basically grenades--you dont want to be the guy holding the thing when she blows and neither does the next guy so be careful and do a leakdown test and get a survey. Make sure you see the motor heat up to running temp and watch it cool down.

Been there, Done that!
If you are really looking for a deal - This is by far the best boat on the market - I spoke with Kenny Blume (Bongos Old Boat) many times about buying that very boat - The price then was $77K and only got him down to $73K - Kenny's boat is worth every bit of $60K - This is not only a deal, but it is also a steal... I ended up buying the 2005 28-Pantera American Flag Paint Job Boat with the KE-675 Blower Motor and paid lots more than what Kenny is willing to sell his boat for. You need to take a little trip and look at the boat in person... I wish you nothing but the very best in finding the boat that you are looking for...
