What is the fastest a 28 has gone with twins? My friend owns the worlds fastest V-Hull Fountain just down the street. I may have to put some hurt on his boat.

Fastest I have been in a stock power twin 28 was 93 gps HARD on the limiters. I think that with a little more prop and possibly some 1" short sportmasters the 100+ would be easily reachable. I am sure Jo can comment on one that was much faster with some bigger power than stockers. What size fountain would be close to a 28 Pantera? The 27 looks closer to the length to my old 24.

Plan B.... tie up next to him with no bumpers, a Pantera always puts out more damage than it takes.....That will put some hurt on his boat ha ha.
I have to admit that i like the way they did that canopy on that Fountain tho.

I think the Pantera would have to run 172 mph to beat that record holder at 171.

The Eliminator "Cobra" was sold yesterday and on it's way to Idaho. It was a beatiful boat after new paint, interior and fresh power. Complete makeover. I expect the Pantera will be nice as well.

I think Keytime was asking Ironman what motors the boat he rode in had.

And yes, they were twin 525s if I remember right. He is/was a member here and there was a long thread on the build.
