I've owned a 24' Pantera, 24' Superboat, and my Dad had a 24' Excalibur. All perform well; the Pantera was built the strongest of the 3, the Super the weakest.

If anybody have some correction or so, feel free
Don't forget about the Progression 24. I hear they are great rough water boats and very well built. The hulls they sell as pleasure boats are identical to the hulls they race with.

The 27 Carrera is no relation to the 24,
the 24 is 7ft wide with 24deg V,
the 27 its an 8ft beam 25deg V,
its actually a cut down 30 Carrera which itself came from the 30 Corsa,
later made from same molds were the 27 and 30 Cobalt Condurre .
The 32 and 36 are no relation to either the 24 or the 27/30
being 8.5 wide and 24 deg V, speculation says it was born in a Cig mold.
To make it even more confusing the new owners of Carrera
actually cut down the 27 even further to make a new 24 CC
however it looks "stubby" and is nothing like the old 24.

This boat stuff is like trying trace a redneck family tree..

Manta built a 23 which may have been derived from the Magnum. Does anyone know?

you know the moderators should start a master thread listing all
the known info regarding what came from where.
Should be divided in two sections, the verifiable (info from original manufacturer or drawings, and the speculative (I heard, a freind said, etc)
Sound good?

Anyone happen to know how close a 24 pantera bottom is to a 24 sunsation rocket? Thinking of swapping trailers but cant get over to measure until the weekend. One is a steel so not adjustable. hoping it will be a perfect fit but not sure as I'm sure there are some differences.

How will one of these 24x7 hulls perform with a bracket and single outboard around 250-300hp?

Rchevelle71 (Rick) has one and with a stock 250 Merc couple of years old ran low 60 before he recently added a swim platform and moved it back...he's still testing and adjusting engine height.
On a new hull (weighs a little less than older hulls) with a single 250 you should see 65 mph and with a 300 I would say 70.
