the pirate run is june 22-24. we show up on friday morning. we have rooms at the rainbow cove 607-243-7535. i supposedly got the last room there but there are always cancellations or i heard there are still rooms at the showboat 607-243-7434. they arent 5 star resorts but its where you wanna be for the run. the run is saturday morning with a party friday night and saturday night. great food great time!!. there is a thread on it in the poker run section. i plan on bringing my 28 twin engine. the guy that bought my 96 single said he wants to come. he is on the other side of syracuse. if i have my 6 pack boat done a buddy is gonna bring that and run it. and another friend is bringing his 03 with a 900hp whippled 540. we park and party behind the rainbow cove. he has a big lot behind there we have a little boat show lol. give me a call if you want 716-465-7583. im in buffalo im a little over 2 hours away with towing and its worth the trip

5 mph loss sound's about rite from the 78 mph they got when testing , what i have seen on most boat's when they do a test run when the boat is brand new with very little fuel and no gear in the boat and of course the biggest thing is the Professional Race boat driver that will squeeze every last mph out of the boat that you and I won't be able to do with out many year's of racing experience .
at least you can still cruise in the sweet spot at around 55 to 60 mph and not be redlined .
on a side note adding a whipple charger to the 525 down the road is a option , you just have to be good on the throttle with that much power
good luck with the boat and have fun but also be careful out there .
