Check you boat mad post Russell , Ian Toll has responded to your post he used to race your boat and has known it from new .
Allso he has a stunning magnum27 with twin 383 s which I went and had a look at last year at the cowes race . He' has some parts for you .

The either is a local machine shop called Brights who are familiar with 454 for a rebore - I will rebuild myself.

Sounds like a nice package apart from the weight , did you buy the motor from larby on boat mad Nick .
Just over 5000 lbs on the trailer (plus same again in lead) sorry for the error......

ok a battery question now gents. anyone got a clue what size ah and CCA for a 350 is about right ?
i am not convinced what was in there is right

i started one of my 454's with a lawnmower battery once. brand new lawnmower battery. part of what you are looking for in batteries is where they fit and ballast. a counterweight for the driver. but the fact boxes pepe made hold the big 27 series ones and you notice he put them on the opposite side from the driver.

i have found some better ones now and cheaper so happy but i have two small form ones so max 85ah not 110ah on mine and i have one each side so equal ballast

have tried to call Rex marine on six occasions and sent four emails.
he has gone off the end of the planet for now. anyone know any other steering boss other than the Rex one to fit the Morse steering control.
