New Pantera family member!
Well, I've been lurking and probing for about 4 wks now and I'm happy to say that Von Bongo has found a worthy home for his pride and Joy. I will not take del. until early next week or possibly Friday if all goes well. The great guy that he is, Mike even helped me to get a better finance deal.
Rest assured this beauty will be well taken care of and perhaps massaged a little too. First priorities are wind deflectors for my wife Tina and some help from Dustin over the winter (Intercooler/boost/re-cal).
I'm actually replacing both my Tige inboard ski boat (almost sold) and 25' Daytona (Really needs a good home) with the 28. Special thanks goes to Jo, Fred Cecil (too old), Glenn (Dangerkitty) and Mike (Von Bongo) for all their help over the last few weeks. There were plenty of others who also helped along the way as well- thank you.
I was very close to ordering new, with twin 340 hp black scorpion ski boat motors and pulse drives and JO worked very hard to earn my business. He also worked very hard to help "the family" by making me aware of many available used 28's on the market, not expected, and definately, now that I know Jo a little more, respected.
I know the 28 is no towboat but it actually benefits from a low planing speed and will work decent for recreational wakeboarding -something my family still enjoys. Hoping I can fit a board rack next to the CMI's, a Pantera would look goofy with wakeboards hanging on the gunwhale
