Hey Rob:
I finally put the rest of my lift together on Thursday...what a *****!
But it looks good. I pumped the inner chambers to the initial recommended time, but was wondering if you added or subtracted air from that point? Additionally, they recommended that I use the inner rings on the rear when attaching to the dock and PVC frame. Did you use the same rings or the ones closer to the end? Imagine, I just put the lift in for the first time and I've had it for almost two seasons with no use. I'm probably out of the warranty period if I have a problem.
Also, I put the frame in the water in May and since then the wing nuts had loosened and some fell off! I replaced them with nuts and I'm going to change for next season with the plastic threaded nuts next year. Did you have that problem?
Anyway, I'm hoping to get my boat next week. It would be nice to have a boat on my lift before I put it away for the winter.
I hope we can get together on the Sound soon.
Ron

Ron, I inflated internals to about 6". Haven't noticed any problems w/ the wingnuts.
Use the forward rings on the rear chambers.
I sure hope we get to hook up. I've been trying to log as many hrs as possible.
Took the 8month preggo wife w/ me on Thrs nite, she just fit in the bolster.![Big Grin](/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
You can give me a call if you have any questions.

Rob(Storm):
I inflated to 6 minutes...is this the same as 6"? I have tides and a small current, but the wingniuts loosened and in some case fell off. As I stated I replaced the wingnuts. You may want to get in the water and check them out for looseness.
I'm hoping to hear this week about delivery. Talk soon.

Ron, I meant 6 inches when they are on the dock.
You can adjust to see how the boat slides in and out of the lift.
Make sure you have a vacuum to suck the air out incase you over inflate.
You should be able to pull the boat in and out of the slip/lift by hand with a spring line.
