What are you running and how's it run?
What kind of speeds are you seeing?

This is my green eyed girl...
Runs good with twin 502MPIs..
Runs along great in rough water.

You realize you're opening a can of worms with this single vs. twin thing...

I'm kicking myself for this, but...
The boat always ran 76-78 depending on load. I was seeing 46-4800rpm.

I just had the FI totally cleaned, and now the engines run right to 5000...
The worst part is that I didn't have my GPS with me the last two times I ran the boat.
So, I'd say 79-80 on the nose...

This boat would be a real sweet heart with twin 525s...
I had actually considered swaping out the 502MPIs for a pair of 525 HP Mesas... But then I looked at my checkbook, and decided the 502s were keepers.

502MPI
26 Bravo 1

Without mufflers 76-78 95 db
With muffler inserts 74-76 85 db

Never GPS'ed with the fuel gauge under 1/2. Can't wait for the day to plop 650+ hp per side in.

Speaking of the can of worms....

Does anyone know (actual first hand experience rather than theory or my brother's friend's cousin said...)

How's the fuel burn in say a twin black 502 (415 each) vs a single efi 750 hp boat??

I know I'm not apples and apples on ponies but I am close on boat speed and the 830 hp on a single 28 would really be taxing the Bravo IMHO. I realize we're pushing another drive and 1200 lbs through the water, but aside from that??
