Going to skip the inflatable, drive up in the Firebird and enjoy leaf peeping along the way. I'll wear my FPC Key West flame hat and Hyperfishing sweat top. Throw an egg or something at me so I can recognize you guys up there.See you soon!

What a beautiful day on the hudson,At least I think it was.We went and launched this morning in dense fog.The weather station said some fog till 10 am.By the time we putted out to the first set of channel markers we lost sight of land and had no idea where we were. Not a good day to be without radar. We hung out till noon and then made our way back to the marina ,still with about 9 feet of visibility.I only know that because I measured from seat to bow light and that was 12 feet.So if any one would rather try this another day let me know..I dont think any one else was out there but if you were sorry I didnt see you.Lets see what weather is for this weekend.
P.S. By the way who's idea was this anyway???

Re: Brunch on the hudson Sunday the 6th
The fog was bad around NYC, it did not lift on the HWY until around Tuxedo Park. No fog at the Brass Anchor.
We drove 1.5 hours in the WS6 from NJ to get to the B.A. at 11:30 AM. As of Nov 1st, some visiting ladies told us, the place did not open until 2PM, so we ate at Macdonalds up the hill. WOo Hoo! <gg> Went back to the Brass Anchor at 12:30, found Chis and his Sunsation (nice boat) about to leave as everyone else was elsewhere, so we spilt. BTW happy birthday Chris!
The good news is that on the way back, we went tasting at several vineyards and got loaded.....with several nice bottles of NY's finest bubbly. Then stopped off at the Storm King Art Center fields of modern sculputure. While some of the pieces would have looked better after ALOT more wine, the natural setting was strikingly beautiful and I recommend it to everyone during the fall leaf explosion.
So, all in all it was a great ride up and down the Hudson Valley with the t-tops off on the WS6 coming back. Sorry we did not see more boaters, but hey, it is WAAY past the season end anyway....see you all in Florida and next summer.

Re: Brunch on the hudson Sunday the 6th
Thanks for the B-day wishes CBR,,,, Sorry for all the confusion, glad your trip wasn't a total loss. I didn't realize who you were, even after you introduced yourself, you should have mentioned OSO... .. we called the night before and they didn't mention they would be opening later in the day, I had my Mom and Dad on their way along w/ my wife who gave them bad instructions and a closed restaurant. I didn't even realize you had left, We ended up sitting around on the boat and waiting for them to open, it was enjoyable and the food was great.
My home comp. is down and didn't know who if anyone was going to be out. I waited around the house until I saw the weather break and we launched from Gully's around 11:30, the sun was shining and we eneded up having a nice day.. didn't see anyone out.
Next time we will all have to make more definite plans..

No problem Chris, you looked kinda busy on the cell phone. Glad it all worked out for you in the end.
