What: A KICK AZZ Poker Run for bad azz boys with bad azz toys, raising money for National Guard Families with members on, heading to, or coming from deployment

Where: Kentucky Lake, Western KY

Here is the deal so far . I will try to keep you guys updated on the things going on for the run.....

The Family readiness group from the 438th MP CO in Murray Ky contacted me Saturday. They found out that we were going to sponsor the children's home in Murray for our first poker run this year, and brought it to my attention that there is great possibility that they will not be here for the other two poker runs that are planned for this year They asked if the WKYPA would reconsider and sponsor them instead for the first run. Of course as a member of that company for 10years i couldn't say no. So as of right now the children's home will be sponsored in the Sept poker run (It was all for Christmas gifts anyway) here is the agenda so far as i know it..

the national guard unit will be "drilling and killing" in "Land Between the Lake" which bordered by the lakes we will be running on

There will be Hum-Vees to to take us from our boats to the after party which is about a mile from the marina.

They will work the registration booth, and take video at each of the card stops for our 2006 Thunder on Ky Lake Poker Run.

The 2 Star General of the state of Ky will Shadow our run from the fourth card stop to the last card stop via 2 blackhawk helicopters. he will then greet everyone and make a short speech before his departure..

There will be a letter written from the General to Ky's Governor asking for his appearance at the poker run.

There will be 50 to 60 door prizes of value handed out throughout the day(compliments of the Mp CO)

These are the things that the MP cO will bring to the table for us. ( alot if you ask me)..

I will post again in this thread of the amount to enter the run,what you get for your entry fee, times, ect.ect.ect. very very soon.. let me know what you all think so far. It took alot for the Mp Co to pull this off. I hope it shows their heart is in this as much as ours are..

sorry to get back so late... it is tax season so I gotta chase the $$$ while they are catchable....

Entry fee is $150 for boat and 2 people, $50 per extra person, and $35 per extra hand...

Includes lunch and after run party, shirts, decals, and all that stuff...

We do not have exact number of miles, should be about 60 total...

We will have helo's, national guard is jumping in with Humvees and other military type stuff....

It will be a hell of a "support the troops" event...

This sounds like a blast and I'd certainly consider a long distance tow to come (would swing thru L-Ville to pick up friends). Unfortunately, can't do May 20th. Bummer!! Good luck with your run...
