Looks like we'll have to figure out another place for the party there Stevo!
Underdog, your favorite place on the river is gone. The Round Bar, along with the docks around Pickle's Bills, is gone. The floods ravaged the area pretty badly here yesterday. They found the barge later in the afternoon in Perry Township.
Take a look at www.wkyc.com and www.wews.com for video of the flooding.
The place you and Becky stayed at, Grand River Marina, well, the dock where the forklifts put your boats in next to are gone, there is only 1 dock left there and it's damaged, lots of boats headed out into the lake, some with docks still attached to them.
There are close to 15 boats sitting in the middle of the harbor anchored after they were picked up from other boaters off the lake. They said 30 or more are up and down the shoreline on rocks, beaches, etc. after being washed onto shore.
Never has this area seen such devastation caused by rain to thsi degree. Sure, the river has crested before during spring thaws but nothing like this.
You won't recognize the place

Date and time as planned. Only minor changes. Which I am working on now. Start and stop may have to be altered slightly due to the flooding that hurt Pickle Bills. Plans will be confirmed this week.

Hope to see some of you at the Port Clinton Run. I would love to come to your run, I have never been that far east in the lake and I have been boating the western end for over 20 years, but I will be out of the state that week.
Check out the thread posted and chime in if your going to show.

Don't miss this years LEHRA - Hot Rod Run, As always this run is free. However a 5 card hand cost $50 (buy as many as you like or none at all) winner take all. Last years winner took home over $4000.00 in prize money. So get to the Mentor Lagoon's Zoo by 10:00 Sat. Sept 9 and sign up for a great fall day and a good chance to win some fat cash. This years offshore run is a whopping 65 mile round trip, once again to the beautiful Ashtabula Harbor and back to Pickle Bills for dinner on the Grand River (yes the round bar is in full operation)
Don't forget about the Sept 8th Friday night pre run fun at Pickle Bills waterfront bar and grill in Grand River Oh.
Hot Rods,Harleys and Hot boats on the water. starts at 6:00
Live music and happy hour specials. Plenty of well lit parking, docking and truck and trailer parking. You may also be able to purchase hands Friday night.
Remember there is no limit to the number of passengers on your boat and/or how many hands you may want to purchase.
Your hands should be opened in front of the dealer only and must be turned in between 6:30 - 7:30 at the end of the run.
If you have any questions please do not hesitate to drop me an email.
