Just wanted to throw my .02 in. I'm really happy with the
way the event came off. Bob Scanlon works his A$$ off
for this event. He does it for all you nice folks who love
a good time & want to attend. He gives alot of us credit,
but in all honesty,he does 90% of the work.
As far as the as the speed restrictions (and I dont want
to beat this to death)...all who would complain....You
knew it going in!!!! Its in post after post here on OSO!!!
If you were going to have a problem, why attend!!
I personally really liked it. I really don't attend other
runs because of the all out, balls to wall attitude.
This run can be enjoyed by all. Big and small power. No
intimidation. We had 42's down to 19,s. I think thats why
we had over a hundred participates. Everyone is welcome.
You don't need a 500k boat to be here and enjoy the day.
Not to mention the low price. Any other run of this magnatude
is in the $500-800. range.Out of reach for many people.
As far as the local yocal comment...you have me totally
puzzled. The rules couldn't have been clearer. If someone
wasn't wearing a pfd,it was because he/she wasn't following
the rules. These are the people who ruin it for all others.
A shame really, because we all know a pfd is just common
sense.
As far as going out in groups...well that was perfect.
At no time did my group criss cross any others. They all
were just finishing their card stop when we pulled up.
The route was perfect and if your pace boat adhered to
the route there should have been now criss crossing of
any boats....... Enough rant.

Thanks to all you guys/ girls who support the run. I met
some great people this year and wish I had the time to
meet more.

Waterheater, I know we talked at the Neptune but I
was cockeyed by then so I can't remember 1 minute
of our conversation...if we even had one,but thanks
for your support.

Thanks to all you regulars who help Bob so much,
Tantrum
Anthony and Kathy
Paul & Jessica
Bern
And all I missed.
Big difference from that first time we went out on that
beautiful fall day a bunch of years ago and had a party on Bob's
deck after the run Hope to see everyone next year...And we are always open
to realistic suggestions.
You can call me anytime. 518-421-9672 Rick Peek

Chris, Actually you were 4th. We screwed up the second place winner
which was Chris akin (I don't know if I spelled it right)
We had already given out the awards so we had to pay out
an extra grand to the real 2nd place winner. You should
have only won $500....so cheer up

The real answer is never let Stecs figure the hands. I was burnt and couldnt see straight at that point and the boys did there best to make heads or tails of the cards on the board. We all missed the 4 of a kind somehow. Pete Aitkin Jr brought it to our attention that he thought he had won second place. He was right, so we paid him on the spot.

Czub you owe me $250.00 !! lmao ..... Consider that the money owed for the hospitality at the Bed and Breakfast in July. BTW, Thanks for showing up and bringing Joe with you. It was good to see you guys again

If I had listened to Pete instead of thinking he was complaining about the same thing you had brought to my attention, I would have saved us a G note. But like I said... I was burnt at that point
