2019 Charleston Poker Run

Here is a run down of everything thus far. The start location will most likely be the same as last year. We're currently working a deal with them. They had new tenants move into the spot we had used and we're getting the logistics worked out there. The end location will either be the start location or the marine up river at the county park. Both of these non issues just came about int he past two week forcing us to move things around. Listed bellow are all the details. I know as of now 1st place will be $2000. It might go up depending on some sponsors. Rivers Edge and Bristol Marinas will be the two host marinas.Bristol has a hotel across the street. Rivers Edge has a ramp next door. Will be about 100 mile run in total all around the harbor. Any questions my contact info is bellow as well.

This is Charleston premier poker run event. It's slightly different from any poker run you might have attended. We have our start and finish location along with 5 card stops around the Charleston area. At each stop you will get a card stating you made it to that stop. At the end location you will turn in these cards for your chance to see what your hand is. By using your skills to throw darts at a board with 52 poker cards on it. Don't you worry. We throw in a little twist so you local dart champion doesn't have an advantage.
This years list of stops include. Morgan creek grill, California Dreaming, Salt water cowboys, Wando River grill and the North Charleston river front park. We have a bonus stop we will be adding in as well for a wild card.
The schedule of events are as follows
Friday 2pm till 5pm meet and greet raft up at no name island in the harbor.
Friday 7pm till 8pm the capts meeting "location yet to be set" You will need to be there to pick up your packets and get all the info needed for the run the following day.
Saturday 0800 Registration opens
Saturday 1000 Shot gun start and run gets under way
Saturday 1100 ALL stops are open
Saturday 1200-200 FREE lunch at Wando river grill
Saturday 330pm check in opens
Saturday 6pm check in closes
Saturday 630pm Awards and dinner
Sunday 12pm till 4pm sand bar raft up at the lime house sand bar.
The cost of this years run is $125 to pre register and $140 day of and includes 2 lunch tickets and 2 dinner tickets and one hand. You can buy additional hands and tickets.

Here is all the info for the event. The start and finish locations are being worked out at the moment. The start will most likely be the same as last year. Charleston Harbor Poker Run order of events.
Captains meeting will be held Friday evening at 7pm at Saltwater Cowboys on Shem creek 130 Mill St, Mt Pleasant, SC 29464. You're welcome to come by boat or car. At the captains meeting you will be able to pick up your poker run packets with boat numbers and all. Anyone who hasn't registered will be able to do so there as well. The official captains meeting will end at around 8pm. Everyone is welcome to hang out and enjoy the evening on the dock.
Saturday........ Poker Run day. Registration will open at 0800 and close at around 0950. Boats will leave Rivers Edge Marina at 1000 hours. We will then head up the Ashley River towards the Harbor. There are two no wake zones we will go thru. The one at Dolphin Cove is the the first. Even though its a half river no wake. We will be slowing down since we will have so many boats going by at once. The downtown no wake is next.
We will mustard up right outside the downtown no wake by the USCG station. Once all boats have cleared the no wake and the Helicopter is over head. We will get under way and run across the harbor. This year some of the stops will have time limits. The North Charleston River front park stop WILL CLOSE AT 1230. It's not the most friendly spot for our staff so we're going to hit that one first so they can get out the elements as quickly as they can.
The free lunch will be held at Wando river grill from 1130 till 130. That stop will close down at 2pm.
The Shem creek stop will be open from 11 till 4
The Morgan creek stop will be open from 1230 till 4
The California Dreaming stop will be open from 3 to 5
All stops will be closed at 5 or when the last boat checks in. Which ever is first.
Final check at Rivers edge closes at 6pm. Get there early to get your free dinner.
I shouldn't need to say this but. This run isn't a race. Please ride at a speed that is within your limits as a operator. Any questions feel free to message me back at [email protected]

Thats just some of the pics from the group I was running with all day. We had a great time. Made a lot of new friends. Next years run will by the 3rd weekend in May as well. May 15th, 16th and 17th 2020.
