Lake Tahoe 3rd of July - Run 'Round The Lake
July 3, 2020 - Lake Tahoe - Run 'round the Lake (in your Big Boat).
Start in front of Gar Woods at 9 am. I will have a Pirate Flag in my Scarab 29.
Head down West Shore to RIva Grill, Then up East Shore to Hyatt and Back to Gar Woods.

My usual route is in the San Francisco Bay from Coyote Point out to the Golden Gate Bridge, so the typical swell and wind chop makes Lake Tahoe seem pretty calm.

I have done a few laps around Tahoe and it can be a great run of 60-70 miles if the conditions are good (generally mid week, early morning departure). On the holiday weekend, ALOT of wakeboard boats and 28-32' cruisers ruin the morning water. With some wind chop and 3' swells it's difficult for me to find a comfortable speed much faster than 40 mph. i'd rather do a midweek run at 60-70 mph and make a few stops along the way.

Looks like you had good water. sorry i missed you all. I ran the entire loop yesterday afternoon. It was pretty rough on the eastside until we got to Zephyrs Cove and then got on top of the chop and had a nice 50-60 mph run back to the Keys. I'm game for next year!
