Come on up to Seneca Lake in upstate New York for the Rochester Offshore Powerboat Association's annual Battleship Run. It's been going on for over 30 years for many reasons - one of them being that you don't have to run 100 MPH. There are generally 3 paced fleets: 45-50 MPH, 65-70 MPH and 100+MPH. Guess which one is the most popular year after year? That's right, the "slow" fleet. And you don't need a 35' boat to run it either. I run my 22' Progression every year and we have a blast. Of course, great people are probably the biggest reason to come.
