July 4th Savannah Race Weekend
Just got the word that it looks like the APBA will be returning for the annual races this year!!!! 
So...we are going to begin the planning for the Poker Run to coincide....we typically hold the Poker Run of Friday and devote Sat and Sunday to the races but i heard from a few people that they would rather do the run on saturday...As of now, I would like to hear your thoughts so this can remain a sucessful event..do you want to run on friday or saturday? There is plenty of time to decide so let me know and I will keep updating here as things develop!! Thanks...Russ Floyd Low Country Powerboat Club 912-313-8686

If we do the poker run Sat,, can't really see the races can we? but hell can't really see them anyway,

I was assuming the Kilo's would be on Friday again. It would be nice to watch the kilo's one day...poker run the next day...and then a day of races...that's what I call a vacation.

I dont know yet. i would imagine speed trials on friday as always..
and the idea of watching those and then doing the run saturday is a good idea. i will try to find out more!

As seen in the racers area, it looks like the apba will not be in savannah this year but due to response, i think we will still have the poker run..trying to get everything setup so we can remain at the Westin and do the run on saturday this year..i have heard from several people that they are making plans..everyone please check in and let me know if this is something you would consider..i hope the turn out is good this year!! thanks...Russ

News Flash!!! The July 4th Run this year is going to be a fundraising event for local TowBoat US Captain Nate Riley. He is needing a kidney transplant and all proceeds from this run will go towards that! We are going to open this event to all boats and have both a performance and cruising class! Details are in the works but make plans to join us for a great weekend of boating,sun and fun!! Stay tuned for more!!!
