Please call the Sarasota Hyatt at 941-953-1234 ASAP to reserve your rooms for Saturday & Sunday nights Sept. 4 & 5. The block or rooms is almost full and the resort is limited since it is a holiday weekend. Also, please mail your registration and payment today as it is due by Wednesday, Sept. 1. NO LATE Registrations will be excepted. Log onto www.opbafl.org for registration document.

Since the Tierra Verde Resort is booked up, myself and a few friends will be staying the entire weekend at the Sarasota Hyatt. Approximately how long will it take us to boat up to Johnny Leverock's in St. Pete from Sarasota for the Saturday morning check in? (..... how early will I have to wake up my wife on Saturday!!)

1/2 hr to get there from the Hyatt. I did it last year it was nothing. Its all inside till you get to the mouth of Tpa Bay then across the bay in through Pass-a-grill then left 5 miles up the ICW.

Just sent my ck. for Sat...........Im watching the Atlantic closely though!! The timing could'nt be better for this...Im hoping its gonna stay far enough offshore miss Fla. and turn out to sea eventually. If its near the Gulf count me out!!

Saturday could end up being very interesting weatherwise. Keep your eyes on that weather forecast. We got a "bigun" brewing out there.

yeah, Im watching it closely......This run can be run inside for most of it, if weather is a major factor(wind). Or it might be great cause all the moisture is being pulled away from here dwn to the Bahamas. I take it your card stop 4, Russ.

We can't make it this year. It was a blast last year, my first poker run I ran in. We have Debbie's autistic son this weekend, plus she has her family reunion. The reunion is in Bradenton, so maybe I'll be able to sneak down to have a drink or twelve. All that is if Frances doesn't hit right here. The track it's on now puts it ashore about 40 miles south of us.
