AIR DOG............the CAT you saw is one of 3 raceboats owned by the same person..............all stored around those premises.........the CAT may have been a Betty Cook early KAMA design.........BARCONE was at the yard but the gy was not sure that they would be for sale..........and the drift of the conversation was now that someone was interested.the price was steep............in some cases, you can build a new boat to equal to restoring one in such poor repair...........materials are not so crazyily far apart once you get started.

Re: Save the Old race Boats

Ah yes............Once Upon A Time.........we all were pretty spiffy
and quick.............some of us still are near there.........we have come upon one of the only two single diesel powered 28 Magnums built by Don A for his co-pilot and friend, Knocky, and so reads the Title...........this was the speed record try for the diesel world. BARCONE may bring the boat to the Bristol, RI plant for a restoration............we can go to twins or even outboards.the boat still has that small crisp cuddy top forward........the look of the 27's...................any thoughts, as we are mired in 427 Daytonas with Turbos.........this boat could even go the route of a center console..........the hull is the only solid part.........but whoever said repairing boats was easy..............we are open to ideas, Charley................

Here is a shot of a Magnum diesel world speed record holder, with Mr A hisself at the wheel. Barry why are we in the Powerplay area discussing Magnums?
