Cupholder size?
Kind of an odd question - I'm looking to replace the chintzy plastic cupholders in my '96 290. Trick Marine has billet cup holders in two sizes, 3 3/8 and 3 5/8. The plastic numbers on the boat are labeled "cup holder 4x3".
Has anyone replaced theirs? And what size did you use?
I'm also planning to add red billet bezels around the gauges and a red Dino steering wheel - should really dress the old girl up....

dock
I replaced mine on my 2000 29 and I messed up and ordered the small ones first, so if it was me I would go with the larger ones I'm sure they did not change them. Anouther way to tell is by putting a can in a fat foam huggie and if it fits. it is the large one if it does not, well I would say the small one. Good luck it really dresses them up.

Re: Cupholder size?
The cupholders are cleverly designed to hold the coozie; I tested this repeatedly last night as I was scrubbing the carpet in the cabin.
Four large in red, please!

Re: Cupholder size?
I am getting to replace my white plastic holders as well. I'm pretty sure the larger ones are correct. Just not sure if I want to go Teal or Purple with the new steering wheel, cup holders and trim bezels for throttles and ignitions? Any suggestion? I thought about taking the purple bezels currently on the gauges off and making everything teal to match.

I purchase all of my stuff from Fred at Trick Marine. He ROCKS! He is a member here and one heck on a great guy. I just got a new prop from him this morning. He is the ONLY one I deal with when it comes to stuff like this.

Hey sign me up on some of those cup holders yielding a 2mph gain! I'm assuming to get the gain all the cup holders must be holding empties rather than full cans?????
Mactonite, I just replaced my steering wheel with a purple one and I also have the purple bezels. I'll post a pic later tonight. Check out ebay for the steering wheel. I bought one new with the hub for $67.00 a couple weeks ago.
