Thats's for sure on the protection. I had called PQ before they closed to see baout a fairing to replace the windshield. As we all agree they really have a cool factor. The deciding factor came when I went for a ride on a freinds 95 mph boat with pertty much only a fairing. One things for sure you keep your mouth shut while underway. The other was one year we hit 3 storms and I sure was gald I had the windsheild. I would prefer a little lower profile design to give it more of a perforamce look. Nothing major but maybe a couple inches. I never asked PQ if the offered different windshiled heights or not. If they come back maybe they'd consider that as an option.

Maybe intercooling this winter.
1 needs valve job, going to dyno after. Had to replace intake valves this spring with only 70hrs on engines. Only did the 1, now the other is ready. Kind of odd the intake valves did not seat correctly. Had to go w/2.25 valves. The one we had done pulls alot harder than the other.

Are those stock? If so how many hours are you able to log on before any maintenance issues. Years ago I had a Scarab that I had a motor built for. She flew but was very high maintenance. After that I was lucky the wife ever agreed to let me buy another. The stip was no touch!

They are basically a merc 525sc but with B&M 174 blowers.
New heads, roller rockers, all new internals etc. I have just 100hrs on them now with no major issues other than the freak valve deal. I can't complain.

Fast Forward,
The 38' that I have has a different windshield that slopes back more and has a different lower profile. It is just a inch or two lower than the one I had on my 34'. I really like it as it gives it more of a performance feel with more protection than a fairing.

Had labbed 31's spinning in,on the rev limiter. Going to try non labbed 32's next spring. Boat handles real well. Never tried turning them out, maybe next year I will give it a try.
