Default Trim tabs for a 280 Silencer

Has any installed larger tabs than the standard 12x12 insta-tab, I am thinking about replacing the 12x12 with a 12x16 from insta-tab an reusing all my hardware.

I did the same last year with my 26 Legend. Call Insta Trim as they have the lower tab section in stock. I Believe they list at nearly $500 but seems I was able to talk him down about half that amount. I will tell you getting the old ones off was a lot of work, They used 3M 5200 sealant. You'll need to slide a thin putty knife up behind the mounting plate and just work it in slowy. That of course after you've removed the 8-10 3" long screws. Just besure not to force it off because the sealant used can pull the gel off.

You mean like these. I had these installed in 01. I believe they are 12x16. I bought directly from Insta-Trim for $250 - $300.00

Exactly, they quoted me $400 for the tabs alone. Sounds like I can get them down a little more. I think it will really help to go bigger. The rams seem strong enough to handle the bigger size. Thanks
