Default Replacement lamp for cockpit lights

I have a 2001 280 Silencer and a looking for a replacement lamp for the cockpit lighting and I can't find one anywhere. Anyone else run into the same problem? I'm guessing PQ used the same cockpit light fixtures in all their boats for that production year. It's about 1 3/8" long by 1/4" in diameter. The other lamps were drawing .25A @ 13V so that works out to a 3.5 watt lamp. Any ideas??

Did you try a big boat store like West Marine?

I tried West Marine...no luck. I unscrewed the light from its mount to see who makes it. On the back it says it's actually made to go into RV's, so I checked the local RV shop here in town...no luck. I checked GE's web site...no luck Thinking of just replacing the entire fixture with some LED lighting, but only as a last resort.

I replaced one and got it from West Marine a couple of years ago. It's a standard bulb.

My guess is you need to go back to West Marine and get someone else to help you out. I'f I get a chance I'll look at mine and see if Wolfs Marine has them.

I'm sure it is a common bulb. I have the same thing in my 91 conquest. I'm not so sure I'ld change out the fixture- yet, unless you really want some different kind of lighting.
