34 Vyper is 33'9" LOA with a 30" of swim platform from the transom wall that is molded into the hull. Any boat that has a molded in platform is the same as far as LOA versus hull that touches water. The 34 Vyper rides like any other 33-34' boat of the same type out there in my opinion. The less hull in the water the better for reduced drag and increased speed. This is why so many manufacturers modify the hulls to reduce drag and improve speeds.

If you compare hulls to other boats looking at an example of a Fountain you'll find an even smaller hull that is in the water. Fountains have the beek that adds 2' plus the molded in swim platform. This means that a 38 Fountain is really a 36' before you factor in the platform.

In the end it's all about the kinds of water you ride and the seat of the pants feel you will have. You've got to test it for youself.
