The best I have seen is 72 on GPS.

I agree 502s would be fine for a while. Perhaps after the K-planes and external steering a roots or screw style supercharger w/ 5 lbs. of boost will keep your interest. It is hard to have too much power on the water with the right setup, regardless of the hull. IMHO.
