Drock78...

ok the reason some boats have a notch transom is for speed,,with a notch transom your able to raise the X dimension (raise drives =less drag=more speed)so a notched transom is not that bad of a thing....

as for the beak,,
the rake on a Fountain is much sharper compared to some other boats were the rake is much longer (like a chopper motorcycle)so it really does not add any length ,,,you might be able to see what Iam trying to say in the pictures below,,look at the distance from the front to the lifting strakes ...like I said its all about the running surface

ok what should we talk about next?? steps??pad keel??positive hull lift design??

try to keep up AJ..
