Question 300 Revenge

Does anyone have any seat time in the new 300 Revenge? I no longer have a local dealer anymore so I haven't gotten any info on this boat as of yet. Looks it would be a great upgrade from my 280. If anyone from Powerquest is reading this would you please update your web site with the 300 specs. Would anyone recommend a good Powerquest dealer in the North East, my dealer in Syracuse went under. Thanks !!!!

My local dry-land marina has one in inventory (I think they said its #4 out of the mold) You may want to give them a call on the performance spec's and what options it has if your interested.

Contact, Skipper Buds Coopersville office Phone: 616-997-2628.

Michigan is a little stretch from New York, but I bet they would deliver.

You may want to try Duck's which is located in PA. 717-944-4232. I would call them as they usually have good prices. I know they have a 2001 38 Avenger with AC, TV/VCR with 496 MAG HO's for $119,000. This is a new boat with full warranty.

That was what they quoted me last week, but I decided to go another direction. They really want to move the boat.

Got my Revenge 300 last Friday. I have twin 500hp's. The boat is equippied with Bravo 1 XR drive with the standoff boxes. It also has kPlanes. I took her out to Lake Mohave for a speed run. It was 105 out and the elevation was 630ft. She get up on plane in 3.5 sec. She topped out at 91mph according to GPS, this was with full fuel and 3 people. Yeseterday I took her out to sandiego bay. It was about 65 out and I got her up to 96mph on gps. I was planing on procharging these motor's to get some more speed but with the speed I am getting right now I think she is plenty quick. The new twin stepped hulls put all the other hull's Powerquest has made to shame. I took her out into the open ocean about 3-4ft swells. I could take her up to about 55mph before I started to get some pounding, I put the K-planes down to get the bow to cut threw the waves and it cut threw them like a hot knife threw butter. I took her up to about 70mph with the planes down and had a awsome ride. The ride on this boat is very close to the ride on the 380. It is awesome. I am also able to stay on plane at 16mph. If I do 22-23mph I can turn 3.6mpg according to the floscan. Awesome Boat Stable all the way up to the WOT. I have a GTEC meter which measures 0-60 and quater miles times. According to the meter the boat goes from 0-60mph in 7.9 seconds and run's the quater mile in 15.8seconds. Pretty awesome for a boat that right up there with a Honda Civic.... My boat out the door was $132,000.

That sounds really FAST!! Can not be much boat in the water at 90+. Last I heard PQ was not going to offer that boat with 500 efi's. Please post picks of boat , and engine compartment. Is it a windscreen or windsheild boat?

Holy chit! That's awsome! I saw the first one just after it was painted at the factory back in December. It had 496HO's and I wondered how fast that would be. You have HP5's and do mid to upper 90's. That's frickin' unbelieveable!!!

Put a pic in this thread.

Congrats!

Just a little FWI on going to Ducky's in PA. They are really nice people and will sell pretty cheap BUT they need A LOT of work in the customer service department! See the attached thread of my experience with them (long).

Question

I too would love to see pics of the boat. I saw the one Vyper340 is refering to at the Miami boat show. The boat looked awsome!

I was speaking to PQ last week and they said they were still waiting to get an order for a 300 w/ HP500's because they were very curious as to how it would perform.

Did you get a 300 w/ 496's and add the HP500s? Or did that boat sneak past the PQ folks????

Anyhow, congrats on the boat. You will love your PQ. I am on my second one and I really like the boat and quality!

Congratulations that is blistering!, who would have thought that a nominal 6500 lb, 30' twin-step would even benefit from boxes.

I got the Boat with 6.2 Merc. My Dealer had a pair of brand new 500hp with the XR drives and 10" standoff boxes off a 40ft Baja. The owner of the Baja upgraded to some 1200hp Turbo Motor. Both engine only had 4hours on them. Power Quest wouldn't even consider putting the 500hp all they would put in there was the 375hp 496. I ended up paying $30,000 for both 500hp's with the dirves and standoff boxes. They took the 6.2's in trade and that helped get me such a deal on the 500hp's. It was a very simple install into took the dealer 3 days to get everything swapped. Plus I got a 5 year warranty on the engine and drive. I was considering a whipple or procharger upgrade, but I think 110mph+ is a too much for a 30ft boat on the ocean. I need a new digital camera I will be getting one this weekend and I will post some pic's plus a few video clips...
