Sorry, this likely is a dump question....
Someone is interested in my 340 and has a trailer for a 290 and wanted to know if it could work to get the boat from Michigan to New York. It is a tri-axle made by R&D in Holland for PQ.
OR does anyone know of a trailer for sale for a 340?
Thanks.
Jeff

I think most 290 trailers are going to be to short, and only have 3500lb axles I think most 340 trailers will have 5200lb or 6000lb axles. Look at the tire size a lot of the 290's will have 14" tires and 5 bolt hubs more than likely a 3500lb axle. Most 340 trailers will have 15 or 16" tires and 6 bolt hubs heavier axles. I just weighed my 300 the other day and had 10,690 on the trailer axles I would think a 340 would be somewhere around another 800 to 1000lbs maybe more on the trailer depending on fuel load. I only had about 3/4 of a tank (130 gal tank) but I did have a lot of crap in the boat for a long weekend.

ahhh, So Travis is looking at your 340? That trailer (and 290) belonged to me up until 2 months ago. Sad that boat got totaled but just glad all those guys are ok! Good luck on the sale and yes, those are 15" tires, 5 bolt lug, 3500 lbs axles
